Why this matters
New plantings usually fail here for one reason: the wrong plant in the wrong spot for the sun exposure and soil, not a lack of care. Deep, infrequent watering that trains roots to grow down past the caliche layer matters more than daily sprinkler cycles, and a plant rated for full desert sun can still struggle if it's placed against a west-facing wall that doubles the reflected heat. Matching species, native or desert-adapted, to the specific microclimate of where it's actually planted, and watering it correctly while it establishes, breaks the cycle of replacing dead plants every summer.

Pavers, turf, and rock installations live or die on base prep. We grade, compact, and layer correctly the first time.
