Why this matters
Cheap turf installations skip drainage and use standard infill that gets uncomfortably hot underfoot in direct Vegas sun, and pet owners in particular end up with a yard that holds odor because there's no drainage path for urine to actually clear the base. Getting the base, infill, and seaming right is the difference between turf that still looks good and smells clean in year five and turf that looks patchy and needs replacing by year two.
